TravelNest - booking near your adventurers made easy
TravelNest is a personal project inspired by a conversation with my dad while we were planning a trip to Chicago. We wanted to stay somewhere that was roughly central to all the places we wanted to visit — and that sparked the idea.
TravelNest lets you input any locations you plan to visit and then suggests nearby hotels or Airbnbs based on the average location of those places. It’s a simple tool to help make trip planning smarter and more efficient.
The project is still a work in progress — in the future, I’d love to add the ability to view popular attractions directly on the map and easily add them to your list.

Campus Life App
Campus Life is a school project where we were assigned to create a web application that addresses common pain points in college life through a unified interface.
The project requirements:
- Three or more HTML pages using semantic HTML to organize content.
- Custom CSS with responsive rules and layout techniques.
- Bootstrap integration for styling and responsive components.
- JavaScript interactivity using event-driven programming to enhance user experience.
- One or more external APIs, integrated to display live or dynamic content (e.g., events, maps, menus, news, etc.). We suggest using a free API from this list of free public APIs.
- Accessibility features that meet WCAG standards (semantic structure, alt text, color contrast, etc.).
- Responsive design that works well on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Deployed website using GitHub Pages with all linked files working as expected.

ScarletStarLord's Website
ScarletStarLord's website is a website for a close friend of mine who needed a simple portfolio site to showcase her artwork and sell comissions. The style of the site is based off of the early 2000s website, MySpace, which features a personal profile and showcases interests and friends.

Flash Phocus Studio
Flash Phocus Studio is a photography website project for a photographer that needed a simple yet effective online presence to showcase their work and services.
I started by creating wireframe designs for each page in Figma (on the left side of page), followed by mock-ups (on right side of page).

After completing the design phase, I moved on to developing the actual website using HTML and CSS. Please feel free to visit the live site or check out the source code on GitHub.

Future Projects Log
This is where I keep a list of future projects that may or may not be carried out
- Inspiration Page- A new page linked from this site displaying the artists/designers I get my inspiration from and how I use that in my work.
- Local Legends- An application that allows you to look at a map and see all the 'haunted' locations in the area and their lore, e.g. Point Pleasant, West Virginina - Will show mothman as a local legend and allow you to learn more about where the legend came from.
- Character Page- ScarletStarLord's site will eventually be linked to a new page listing all of her original characters, along with their biographies.
